POND SWIMMING / FISHING

Vermont Riding Academy specializes in Western style riding.

Lessons / Training will be for 3 at a time

Your day begins with a continental breakfast, then you and your host / wrangler Jane will find a horse suitable for you. (He will be yours for the entire stay).  If you choose, you can groom your horse and get to know him prior to riding.

Lessons are conducted in the morning on a one to 3 basis with Jane. You will be taught full care and control of your horse and also basic stable management.  You and your guests will have an allocation of 12 horse hours per day to be split any way your choose.

In the afternoon on day 1, you will continue lessons in the ring.  After day 1, afternoons will be available to put your new skills to use by riding throughout the property and trails.

Riding generally ends at 4:30pm each evening.

Depending on your level, one day each week we may go for a ride off property to an historic section of Pomfret by way of dirt roads and trails.

You will learn at your own pace, you will not be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with but after a horse riding vacation at the Vermont Riding Academy you will be amazed at how much you will have achieved..

The Package include:
Accommodation & Breakfast & Horse Riding Course
Fresh Sandwiches are available daily at an extra cost.
