A few photos I took this evening as I was desparate to get out of the house and away from all of the plaster dust that’s lying around at the moment. I also figured that it’s about time I had a look around the area and kept an eye on the different places that I could take half decent photos from. On the way back into town I had to put the hazard lights one because there were a couple of elk parked on the highway. The hazards are for other cars coming up behind me, not for the elk.
I’ve now updated this post to include some photos of the sunrise this morning. Not great, but I’ve found a good spot for next time – though it involves wading through a part of the Elk River – note to self, take wellies next time. I had to leave in the end because I was getting shouted out by some stressed birds for standing in the middle of their breakfast area.

Very good Jase. I can’t help thinking that you’re in more danger from wild animals than traffic when you stand in the middle of the road in
Main Street, Down Town Fernie
Wow, jase – they’re gorgeous! and I’ll be with you real soon
xxx
Lovely pics Jason – especially no.3 and Fernie High Street.
They’re not Christmas decs. still up are they?
I can’t remember seeing as many pix as THIS last night. They breeding or what?
Psssssssssssst Shirley, I’m wondering if Fernie High street has been (censored), looks a bit like a choc box pic to me.
You might want to re-read the end of the post just above the photos
V nice. I love the one of Fernie High Street – but then I love all photos of Fernie High Street
lovely pix – it’s about time you set up your website to sell them!
Glorious pics Jason.
You know how much I love the sunrise/sunset – sadly I’m a nocturnal animal, so my chances of catching the sunrise veer somewhere on the side of zilch!
Perhaps next time we’re in Canada or Oz jetlag will enable me to greet the dawn.
btw Happy 40th Flo. xxxxxx
Now there you have it, back by popular demand and as highly innacurate as ever – the one, the only, the country flags! I see Shirley, Cath and Flo have been about…
I know – we’ve been travelling all over – bit tired now, need a rest
The dawn photos are amazing jase
Well there you go – whoever would have thought Llandudno had its own flag!
CATH!!!!
I just got back last night and was so excited to see your pic and write up on Michelle Dillon’s website! EEEEEEEE!!!!
I am so proud of you Cath — I am bubbling with excitement for your time to shine in Aussie-land. They better look out, because when you lay down the law, no one will be able to catch you!
My on-again-off-again relationship with coffee is most definitely on again, and the pot will be on when you come through….
Of course, if you are too pooped to stop by, I’ll totally understand.
Oh I am so excited to see you!! We can go swimming at Surveyors!!! EEEEEEEEE!!!!
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe that is NOT the best phrase you could have used about your sister, your ma-in-law and your sister-in-law on your WIFE’S side!!!!!!!!!
