We brought the snow with us from the UK. Even though they have had more than Whistler this winter, and the base is pretty respectable, Fernie has been a bit light on the stuff for the last few weeks, and some of the powder hounds have been wondering if they are going to get any more this season while others that enjoy streaking around the pistes like mad cannonballs (all very safe and controlled of course) have been enjoying the European style conditions of hard pack. Well the weather went into reverse, and we woke up to find about five inches of fresh snow on the drive, so what can you do? Well, you can get your gear on and venture out. So it was that we had a great morning skiing until our legs burned.
