We spent yesterday mowing the lawn, weeding the garden and generally sorting things out, then this morning we met up with Julie and drove down to Surveyor’s Lake near Lake Kookanusa for a bit or triathlon training. Well, obviously I didn’t train, but you get the drift. The two loonies joined a couple of loons (canadian birds) and some turtles as they raced into the tepid water.
They spent 20 minutes going backwards and forwards before the two of them decided to practice a “mass start”. That’s what they said, but I had a hard time picturing it before they started! Apparently they weren’t pretending to be 50 people, but doing the running into the water then diving into a swim thing. You have to see it to believe it.
Weather’s hot, wish you were here.

I had such a blast yesterday running into the water — I am still laughing at that! It was great sitting down with you both at Freshies too — I was quite pleased that I had a cappucino “Cath style” before finally succumbing to the maple syrup.
And thanks for the scrap book Julie! Julie put together a scrapbook of all my triathlon stuff for me, together with her slightly zany comments – it was brilliant! My Dad had only said to me recently that I needed to start doing one – so thanks Julie, you set me off!
Jase,
Get them to do it again – only this time record it so we can all have a laugh
meant to ask…….is the rusty car still on your drive????
Yep, still there for now. They are building a garage so it’ll be off the drive then. Either way, it’ll be off the drive in May.
