Hi, welcome to the new home of the Great Bear Lodge blog. I’ve made this change for a number of reasons:
- I was getting fed up with the service from the previous provider
- I was limited by the software, which I had downloaded and bastardised so much that it was beginning to creak
- I wanted someone else to do the programming so that I would be able to just down load new bits and pieces as and when I needed them
- I thought it was about time I got up to date!
Now, I’ll leave the old site available until I get the galleries moved over. After that the site will disappear, and hopefully at some point I will be able to do the Great Bear Lodge site (immigration notwithstanding of course)! You will notice that not only have I moved over all of the posts, but all of the comments as well, so you’ll still be immortalised in stone/electrons. The site may take a bit of getting used to for some, but please persevere. Hopefully the new servers/provider will be a bit more robust than the last one! Cheers Jason & Cath

Do we get to know Fernie weather on this site? Weather here v. nice, but apparently still too windy for Mum & Dad to do their balloon ride – booo!!

in this context, I think bastardised is fine. Of course, I’m skating on thin ice here…
