I’m writing this because I’m normally knocking around when I get updates that I need to pass on to family and friends.
I had a message this morning from AVG that my version of the anti-virus software would expire in January. Now I’ve spoken to a few of you over the years about getting anti-virus, and I’ve recommended AVG each time. If you have AVG, please download the latest versions and update your computers.

Just updated my AVG this morning by happy co-incidence, as you mention it. Should be safe from the web-nasties for a while now!
More than I can say for my screen, which is now in PC World under the surgeons knife. Hope to get that fixed and back again in a few days. Got my wireless LAN working at long last too – only taken me 5 months!
